Join us as Eric Alarid takes us on a tour of our newest model home - the
Palo Duro. Located in
San Marcos, Texas, this home plan is designed for the modern family, seamlessly blending ample living space with a cozy ambiance. The exterior showcases a distinctive Modern Hill Country elevation that combines varying plate heights, exquisite stucco and stone, natural wood elements, and tapering stone columns for a truly unique look. The multiple plate heights also pave the way for spectacular grand entrances and soaring interior ceilings.
Inside, the model home features a cathedral ceiling in the family room that stretches onto the covered porch, further amplified by a wall of large, picturesque windows on the rear of the home. The open plan design boasts about 45 feet of open space from the family room to the kitchen, culminating in a generous living area encompassing the family room, kitchen, and dining spaces. The model also showcases a colossal back-covered porch with a cathedral ceiling and an elegant wooden truss— an ideal setting for gatherings, celebrations, or tranquil evenings.
Instead of a traditional dining room, the Palo Duro integrates a spacious eat-in kitchen that opens to the family room. This model features our largest kitchen design with dual islands providing plenty of workspace and serves as the heart of the home. Outfitted with a cooktop, separate double ovens, an attractive vent hood, and subway tile adorning the back kitchen wall, the kitchen also includes an innovative pop-up outlet for appliances and phone charging. These outlets can be pushed down to align with the island countertop when not in use. An oversized pantry doubles as an auxiliary kitchen and storage space, perfect for your culinary needs and essentials.
The layout features a split floor plan with spare bedrooms on one side and a luxurious master suite on the other. The master suite exudes a spa-like ambiance, boasting immense windows, a lavish bathroom with a free-standing tub within a vast shower, dual vanities, and a generous walk-in closet. The guest bedroom and additional bedrooms and baths are situated opposite the home from the master. Two bedrooms share a bath, while the back bedroom features a private bath and walk-in closet, perfect as a mother-in-law suite or an older child's space.
The Palo Duro also takes pride in having the most spacious study among our models, crafted for productivity and flexibility. Whether you're working from home, teaching, or repurposing it into another bedroom or dining space, this room surpasses expectations in both form and function. Our utility room, designed to cater to the specific needs of country living, offers ample space for freezers, laundry, and even a dog washing space.
The Palo Duro model is a testament to tradition meeting innovation, and we invite you to visit our design center in San Marcos to experience this beautiful home in person.
