The Hoover family chose the Breckenridge C elevation for their new home. They loved the elevation style with its big front porch and dormers. They switched out the stone that is included with this elevation with brick. They also added more visual appeal by half-siding and half-bricking the wall between the dining room and garage. They love the cedar headers above the windows and the large front door with sidelights. The resulting overall look is both inviting and distinctively theirs. They couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

A Dining Room Made For Entertaining

As soon as you step into the Hoover home, you feel welcomed. The entryway pulls you in, and the arched openings to the other rooms make you want to explore. One of Jennifer's favorite spaces is the dining room, which has room for a massive dining room table. The Hoovers love to entertain, and the dining room is the perfect space for holiday gatherings. Jennifer also loves the detail of the wall niche in the dining room. It's a beautiful space that's perfect for hosting family and friends. Gather in the Family Room The large family room in the Hoover home has a variety of features that work together to create a warm and welcoming space. The cathedral ceiling and rough sawn wood beams give the room an open feel, while the fireplace with its surround adds a touch of country charm. The wall of windows and glass doors bring in natural light, and the double French doors provide access to the outdoors. All of these elements come together to create a space that is both inviting and hospitable.

The Kitchen of Their Dreams

Jennifer and her family worked with our Weatherford team to create their dream kitchen, and they are absolutely thrilled with the results. The large island provides plenty of workspace and also serves as a gathering place for family meals. The brick underneath the island ties into the brick wall behind the cooking spaces, adding character to the room. The backsplash is an Italian tile with a wavy pattern, and the recessed tile niche behind the gas stove provides a perfect place for storing herbs and spices. Jennifer says she really enjoyed Tilson Homes's flexibility to customize her kitchen layout. She reworked the built-in pantry cabinets to add an extra workspace with a coffee bar area. The newly created space includes an electrical outlet below the counter for a future wine fridge. Every detail in the room was carefully considered, and the result is a truly stunning kitchen that the whole family enjoys spending time in.

An Informal Dining Space for Casual Meals

The breakfast nook is adjacent to the kitchen, making it a convenient and accessible space for the family. The table is surrounded by windows that encase the room in natural light, making it a bright and cheerful space. The area serves as the kids' table for large gatherings, and it's also a great space for morning breakfast or for the kids to study. 

The Ideal Owner's Hideaway

The Hoover family's large master suite is truly a retreat. The highlight of the large master bedroom is the 12 foot stepped ceiling with rough sawn wood box beams. The Hoover family customized the bathroom layout to create a spa-like environment. Their bathroom features a free-standing tub space with tiled walls. They also have his and hers vanity spaces separated by a granite window seat bench. The large walk-in shower includes a built-in bench and storage shelves. This luxurious bathroom is the perfect place to relax after a long day. Thanks to the Hoovers' creative design, their master suite is truly a retreat from the outside world.

Upstairs Bonus Space Allows Room for the Whole Family

The Hoover family added the upstairs bonus space to create more room for their family. This second story adds over 1000 square feet of living area and includes a bonus room, theater room, 4th bedroom, and full bathroom. The family uses the bonus room as a large playroom for their children to read and play. The theater room functions as Jennifer's sewing room. The built-in cabinets are perfect for storing all her supplies. With the extra space, the Hoovers can live comfortably without feeling cramped.
