We wanted to build a house on the lake so the kids would want to come and visit because when they start getting older, they have their own lives and don't come around as much and we were like if you build it, they will come. . Sort of like "Field of Dreams", that's what it is. It's a dream. Hi my name is Carolyn and this is Charles and we built a house with Tilson in Streeman, Texas.

We've been married 35 years, started dating in high school. She was 15 I was 16. I have three kids grown up, soon to be empty nesters we've got seven grandkids.

Well process with Tilson started when I was researching builders and I came across Tilson and they were family owned and we owned a family owned business for 18 years and we were like, I think that's we want to go with let's go check them out. Now I actually went by myself and walked in the showroom and Waxahachie, we happened to live in Waxahachie and I met Brandi and fell in love. She is just a wonderful designer, a wonderful friend. She made me feel immediately comfortable like I was at home, she was showing me around the showrooms and it was just instant trust.

When she started visiting Tilson and working with Brandi she she'd go multiple times in and out come home show me different plans then one day she just came and says, hey, we got to go sign some papers and I'm like, what do you mean you don't think we're going to build a house with them.

Well when I first started working with Brandi at Tilson I know they had their own home designs but I had already made up my mind what I wanted in a home and I had brought ideas to Brandi and she I was like, can you do this and she was like, sure let's look and she put several homes together that was already in the Tilson portfolio but she customized it to exactly what I wanted, anything I asked she was more than willing to design and she did that over and over until we got it right.

The quality of the home met or exceeded our expectations. We had friends in the neighborhood that actually came walked in they were telling us how good they thought the house was being built because they had a history of building multiple homes so it made us feel good and we felt all along that the quality was there. Working with our superintendent, he made us feel comfortable, he made sure he knew what was going on, how it was being put together and made sure it was meeting our expectations.

I would recommend anyone to build your dream home with Tilson Homes. You come in with your dream and they make it a really reality and I didn't think I would be able to get everything I wanted but I did, I got everything that I wanted from this home and it's just unreal every time I step inside.
