The
Guadalupeis a charming home that is centered on a spacious family room. The bedrooms are split on either side of the home for privacy, and there are many options to customize the layout to make it perfect for your family.
When you enter the Guadalupe model in
San Marcos, the foyer opens immediately to a large flex room on the right, the kitchen and dining area on the left, and the family room straight ahead. The flex room makes a great lounge or formal dining room. It can also easily be changed into a quiet study or an extra bedroom, which makes the foyer feel more like an extended entryway.
The family room has a raised ceiling and double doors leading out into a covered porch in the back. An alternate design for this area extends the porch and vaults the ceiling for both the porch and family room, making them feel like part of the same space.
In this living room, you’ll have plenty of space for graduation parties, cookouts, and holidays with the family.
When you do host parties and get-togethers, you’ll have a clear view of your guests while you prepare food. The kitchen is diagonal to the family room, and has an open counter with a curved eating bar. This is a great place to put snacks, or for your guests to stop and chat on their way into the main space. The kitchen also has a large island for added work space, and a pantry for extra food storage.
After a long day with your family and friends, you’ll make your way down a short hallway from the kitchen and into the master suite. The master bedroom has a stepped ceiling and a wall of windows to let in lots of natural light. The bathroom has two vanities, a large walk-in closet, and an enclosed toilet, so you won’t find yourself fighting for space. There’s a small shower and a soaking tub, but if you prefer, we’ll put in a large walk-in shower instead.
On the opposite side of the home, a hallway from the family room connects two small bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a utility room. If you convert the flex room into a bedroom, its entry is in this hallway as well. You can also add an extra bedroom with or without changing the flex room.
Some other options for the right side of the Guadalupe include adding a Jack & Jill style bathroom and making the bedrooms larger,
You can also add a drop zone to the utility room and add a 2-car garage. The drop zone adds another entrance to the home and has a bench with cabinets on either side. Since your washer and drier are right in the same room, this is especially great for active families to help contain the mess after sports practice or a day out in the rain.
