Spray Foam is a polymer created by mixing two liquid chemical components in real-time during spray application. The result is the synthesis of foam insulation that can expand as much as 100 times in volume before firming into a solid.

Homeowners and builders appreciate this type of insulation for its ability to permeate every nook and cranny of walls and attics. Every tight corner, sharp angle, or other obstruction can be easily negotiated during the wet application process. In minutes, the spray foam expands and conforms to the space it occupies. Correctly installed, open cell spray foam insulation significantly increases the sealed envelope of the home. A better seal means conditioned air stays in, and seasonal air stays out.

Here are just a few of the many benefits of using spray foam insulation in your new home:

1. Sound Deadening Qualities: A spray foam insulated house is a much quieter home. Very little noise from the outside will come into your house even on the busiest streets.

2. Energy Efficiency: Spray foam insulation completely seals your home - going up into the ceiling, across the rafters, and across the roof deck. The effect is like being on the inside of a cooler with your home insulated on all sides plus the roof.

3. Cooler Attic Temperatures: Since spray foam seals your entire roof deck, the temperature in your attic will be within a few degrees of the temperature within the rest of your home. When you have equipment like a water heater and the air conditioner up in the attic, having that lower air temperature allows the units to run more efficiently and last longer.

4. Reduced Dust: Another benefit of a fully sealed home is less dust.  The dust factor in a spray foam house is almost minimal since most dust in your home comes from the outside.
