Named for Jesse Grimes, who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence, it is home to 32,384 proud patriotic Texans. A little over an hour north of Houston, it features five school districts and is home to Walker, Texas Ranger himself, Chuck Norris. Spend time catching big bass on the beautiful Gibbons Creek Reservoir, or if you feel like a trip even further back in history, visit the state-famous Texas Renaissance Festival.
