Bandera County
Welcome to the Cowboy Capital of the World! Bandera County is a place where people go to relax. Its largest community, Lakehills, is located by Medina Lake – an excellent place to fish for bass and catfish, rent jet skis and boats, and camp out. The Bandera River runs out of the lake and through the county, and situated along it is the city of Bandera, where the Bandera Riverfest is held each June. Bandera County is also known for Hill Country State Natural Area, where runners flock for two difficult ultramarathons each year.
