Johnson County
With a population of about 202,906, Johnson County is a steadily growing area. It’s about half an hour from Fort Worth, where many residents commute for work. The Southwestern Adventist University operates here, a liberal arts university that offers a unique Fire Science degree to prepare students for work in fire departments all over the nation. There is also a waterpark, a 96-acre sports complex, a state park with fishing in Cedar Lake, and the Johnson County Chisholm Trail Museum where you can visit the 1850s courthouse, schoolhouse, jail, and blacksmith shop.
