With only 4,442 residents, Kimble has a small-town atmosphere with a tremendous sense of family and pride. Named after George C. Kimble who died at the battle of the Alamo, The Kimble County Historical Museum is the perfect place to learn its abundant history. Then, grab your dancing boots and get your groove on at London Hall, one of the oldest dance halls in Texas. Hunting and fishing are major recreational activities in this heavily rural region, and it’s specifically one of the best places in the state to hunt deer. Llano River runs through the middle of the county, with South Llano River State Park situated just below the city of Junction.
