Parker County
The most famous attraction in Parker County is the Southfork Ranch, where the TV show Dallas was partially filmed, including the famous last scene. This county has a thriving population of about 140,000, and a good mix of big, small, and tiny towns. The hills of Parker County are broken up by the Brazos River, some smaller tributaries, Lake Mineral Wells, and Lake Weatherford. Although many residents commute to nearby Fort Worth, the city of Weatherford has plenty of job and recreation opportunities, including a hospital, Weatherford College, shops, museums, historic sites, and public gardens.
